Plastics, which are commercially available, biodegradable and/or based on renewable raw materials, represent an ecological alternative to oil-based plastics. However, due to partially onesided designed properties they are not similarly qualified for each application. The Institut of Natural Materials Technology is specialised in efficient and tailor-made optimisation of bioplastics for various fields of application.
